Design Capabilities
Located in Mooresville, NC, Dynamo offers design and engineering from initial concept to completion. Our design capabilities are wide-ranging and can include sketching and/or clay modeling concepts, drawing them with 3D CAD and providing realistic renderings of concepts, simulating part strength with FEA, making rapid-prototype parts and designing the tooling for production runs. We can also use our vast network of suppliers to point you in the right direction with production. Projects completed include vehicles, electromechanical assemblies, measurement equipment and medical equipment. 3D Modeling and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) 
3D CAD programs assist us in visualization, layout and mathematical simulation of the products we design. Using the 3D design method, we greatly reduce design iteration and can prove the functionality of the product before it is physically created. It also facilitates communication with the client and ensures that they receive exactly what they envisioned.
Measurement 
We can also measure and re-create existing parts in 3D with our reverse-engineering services. We use accurate CMMs, articulating arms and lasers to capture the true shape of any object. This can be useful for using existing part geometry in a new invention, modifying existing undocumented tooling or re-creating art once lost to time.

FEA In addition to modeling products in CAD, we can also use advanced finite element analysis (FEA) to analyze the strength of a part or assembly digitally and find areas of weakness or areas where material can be reduced.  Hybrid to Plug-In Electric Car (PHEV) Conversions 
Because of our particular interest in the alternative energy and vehicle industry, we also offer the installation of kits to transform Toyota Prius and Ford Escape Hybrids to plug-in electric or PHEVs. For around $5000, you can purchase a battery extension kit and increase your hybrid's gas mileage from a mere 40 to an incredible 80+ MPG. We offer the conversions as a service.
